Here’s the third progress shot of “Sentry" for my solo show #Aurora at Thinkspace Gallery LA. I started adding more greens to the background and more pencil textures. On the figure I gave the halftones more love and modelling the form to turn it into the shadows. Adding reflected light in the shadows too. Little bit on the owl. Also adding red coloured pencil in the shadow areas, particularly where the blood vessels are close to the surface like the knuckles, cheeks, nose, ears, elbows etc. There’s more of a gradient of light on the figure hopefully by this time.
